Aloe Vera is notorious as a “home remedy plant”. Always there to save the day, be it hair problems, burns, rashes or in this case acne, and acne scars.
It can be either used alone or paired with other natural ingredients to play its magic.

Aloe Vera gel – the natural gel from the plant or the one found at the pharmacy can be used on the acne ridden area. You can use it in place of a cleanser every other day in order to enhance your blood flow and prevent acne and acne scars.
Paired with Lemon Juice – you can add a generous amount of the gel to a few teaspoons of lemon juice (ratio followed should be 8 to 1). Leave the mixture on for about ten minutes before washing it off to help combat acne.
Paired with Honey and Cinnamon – 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and 1/4th tablespoon of cinnamon should make the perfect mixture to be applied on to your face. Similar to the mixture with lemon juice, it needs to stay on for only 10 minutes and then washed off.

Paired with Sugar and Coconut Oil Scrub – this mixture is mainly an exfoliator. Through this, the dead skin cells can be scrubbed off of the pores and the aloe vera content can help by nourishing the skin enough to be soothed.
Creams – there are infinite creams that are manufactured from aloe vera hence making their use very effective in terms of dealing with acne.
Aloe Vera for Acne Scars
Unknowingly scratching the pimples can leave behind acne scars that we all dread. However, as always, aloe vera comes to the rescue. As primarily said, it works with various items to deal with acne and the scars.
- Initially you only need to gently cleanse your scars with aloe vera to lighten them. This needs to be done regularly until you see them fading away.
- A compound called “Witch Hazel” which is extracted from shrubs can be used as a toner. This can also be paired with the aloe vera gel and applied to the scars because it helps in lessening the skin oil. This in turn can aid in lightening the acne scars.
Now, to say aloe vera is a safe option, alone, wouldn’t be fair. It works exceptionally well in reducing acne and acne scars. Knowing all these different solutions and mixtures now ensures that you and your skin are always glowing!
